Podcast: USFWS Discusses The Legal Side Of The Pleco Trade

Did you know that the U.S. Fish And Wildlife Service (USFWS) hosts a podcast all about fish? It's called the Fish of the Week podcast, and it mainly focuses on species found outside the fish tank.

A recent exception, however, focused on plecos. As many hobbyists know, releasing plecos into the wild can be devastating to the environment. That's when the USFWS often steps in to mitigate the situation. The Service is also involved in managing the pleco species entering the country through legal and illegal means.

It's not all doom and gloom, though. Anyone with plecos in their tank should have a listen to this very informative episode.
